The Evening of my Life
'Hell!!!' What has happened to my mobile? Why is it not working? And then I removed the battery and again placed at its proper place and switched that on but that wasn't working. "O hell!" And I started juddering that.
"No please!! Treat it with love and it would start working." A soft, husky, deep, mellowy, sweet sound came from behind and I turned around immediately. "Oh my God!" Thunderstruck, so beatific, so graceful.
"Hi, my name is Priya" suddenly a voice entered my ear and I felt like something was titillating me.
"O! hi. My name is...........is.....", what has happened to me yaar? What's my name? (O God! please help me). Ammm, my name is....... (Ok! tell her any good one) Dhruv, the shining star which will shine some day. I replied and giggled.
"Ha ha ha", she smiled and I felt how idyllic was her smile? I was completely lost, just didn't know anything else and just then a song started. (Arere meri jaan hai Radha). "Oh yaar!" I woke up.
It means I was dreaming! "Oh God!" I sat on my bed, streched my hand, yawned and then switched off my alarm. " When? " The only question of my life.
After taking my usual breakfast I moved to the bus stand to get a bus to my office. Oh yes! "Did you hear that?" I am an employed guy. I was standing on the bus stand completely tenterhooked by the situation when suddenly I saw a girl. "Whattt?" I was mistaken, she was not a girl. She was an angel dressed in pink suit and black sandel. Yeah, dream-beauty. "Guess what?" Yes she was also waiting for the bus just annoyed. I was unable to resist my feelings and decided to talk to her. I went near to her with my right hand crossed finger behind my back and left hand in my pocket. Eyes were as naughty as a cat but the face was as innocent as a goat....
And you know my punch line 'keeping a beautiful face without smile is as ridiculous as drinking milk with salt.' Anyway I moved there and..........asked "Excuse me", Do I know you? "No." The answer was as straight as the path of light. (But how do you know that I don't know you, I was willing to ask) I maintained the scene and asked "Are you Soni?" (Reply came from my heart, she is much "SONI" than you expected.)
"A dangerous look". That was her gestured answer to my question.
"Are you comfortable?" I just was in the same tempo. She avoided my look as well as my presence. (But how could I?) At the time I knew that the situation might get aggravated if I missed a single sentence. I shot my repartee at its full pace and asked "Are you a student of DAV Ranchi"? (We were at Barhaj, a small semi urban area in U.P) She looked at me with anger in her beautiful, big, black, round eyes, temper in her sweet, soft, wet, lucky lips and said "No, I never studied in DAV Ranchi. In fact, I don't even know where it is located!"
I smiled, cheered, giggled and with aplomb put my right hand before her gesturing to shake hand politely "Same to you madam. i too have never visited that school."
"What an act!" Then I told with all the sugarcane pouring in my voice 'Actually you were getting bored here so I thought to just entertain you. I am sorry if I harmed your cells because of anger.'
And I caught the coming bus gesturing thumb up and saying 'Good Bye'.
That's me OBVIOUSLY NOT PERFECT BUT DEFINITELY NOT FAKE.
I was bored working continuously for six hours and it was half past five . I thought to move now because my work was over and I was just playing on my desktop when suddenly a naughty statement came in a mellifluous sound "So, here is the Soni searcher." I was amazed and raised my head to see and I saw that she was standing in front of me with a graceful smile, cheerful eyes, beautiful coiffure and I was dumbstruck. Yes, she was the angel I teased in morning time. "Oops!" I was in a frisson of fear because in general I had not a habit to encounter the same girl twice. I was nervous and thought that I was going to know a new lesson "not to tease a beauty when you are on duty". But she giggled and said "you are impressive enough". I just liked the way she told that. I liked the way she told that. I want to repeat this line 200 times but then you would beat me. I was flat.
"No" , sorry, actually I was floored. Recollecting my strength I spoke "Yes please madam, what do you want?" She smiled so less that her lips stretched just 0.7cm and told ' When are you coming out of this office? I want to talk to you.' In a moment I logged off, shut down my desktop, said goodbye to my officers and I was outside leaving her inside.
(Bloody hell!) I was such a nincumpoop.
I ran into the office and told her very politely "Shall we go?". She said yes with her head moving up and down but eyes fixed on me. We came out of the office and were talking along the road side by side. I put my hands in pocket gesturing like a cool stud when she retorted "Don't try to be a hero. I like you because you are simple, innocent, single faced and open hearted. Do you get it?" I simply said "Yes" and my hands were out of my pocket. I was so thankful to the almighty because I was relaxed, satisfied and happy as never before. I just saw her moving my neck at 90° and I was shocked to see her staring in my eyes.
I quickly smiled and said "Okay! What are you trying to tell?" She said "I am a girl of bad luck. My parents forcefully sent me to boardings when I was five. My all mates excluded me in their every function and party. In fact, I am the only one girl whose birthday was not celebrated by her friends till the whole study life." She wiped her tears (I should have told pearls) smiled faintly and said "But you are the first person who actually made me laugh and not on myself but on you. At that very moment I decided to talk to you because I am afraid if you are also smitten by bad luck or you have some other deep sorrow that's why you made people laugh on you."
She then stopped and asked me "Say something na." (I love you. You are so beautiful. I want to kiss you. I mean..........JUST SHUT UP).
I answered "Actually I don't have any problem and I don't make people laugh at me rather I make angels laugh at me. And I must say, there is nothing like bad luck." I gave my confident smile and she retorted "Okay! Then why are we walking? Let us hire an auto."
I quickly agreed and said with a large smile stretching my lips 7.0 cm almost making a new world record (Plz don't smile you are not going to break my record) "Oh yeah! Sure, but today actually I didn't bring that much money with me. So, you know, walking is good for health and............wealth too."
She said with a grief in her voice "See! I told you." I was like ready for this statement. I quickly retorted "Oh come on! If this means a lot for you then you are good luck in fact best luck for me because get ready we are going by auto for free." She smiled faintly.
I lashed myself, patted my shoulder get my collar straight and then stopped an auto. I asked "Bhaiya, we have to go actually but we don't have money. Could you drop us?" He laughed and said "That's good. Walk, walk and walk." And he ran away.
Okay! I stopped another one but...... One by one I tried 15 autos but all in vain. She came to me with so beautiful eyes but were wet. (Oh no! This water doesn't suit you.) I told her "Please don't waste water. Okay! This is going to be the last one."
I recollected my confidence, smile and yes this time I called him, my divine friend, LORD KRISHNA. (I mean.... what are you doing? I tried my best but failed now its your turn to show this girl after all I am your friend and she is mine. Therefore, she is your friend too.)
I saw an auto coming towards us. I gestured my hand to stop and asked him "Bhaiya, could you drop us for free? We don't have money now but I tell you surely I am going to pay double wherever and whenever we meet again. Please! Don't say no."
He thought for some seconds perhaps he was reading my face whether I was telling the truth or not. Then he told "Okay! Come." And I was like WOW. I just wanted to kiss him but you know you have to suppress some feelings. He dropped us where we wanted. Then he moved to go when I asked him with a respect "Your name please." And I was stunned to hear his name. Actually a drop of water came into my eyes. I just saw in the sky and opened my heart to say "Thank you god." You do would weep listening his name.
He told "My name is 'Kishan' and I am going to 'Dwarikapuri', a small village near that place."
Now, she was smiling a little more than I had expected. She said cheerfully ' You are a good guy. I like to be a friend of you. See you again.' And she went.

I came alone to my home. It was 7 o'clock in the evening and was just turning to night. I get my clothes changed sat on the bed and wrote a story
